Conservation & Threats
Placida dendritica is listed as 'not evaluated' on the IUCN red list. However, as there are no threats currently identified for this species, it is highly unlikely that P. dendritica, when assessed, would fall into the threatened category. This species inhabits coral reef areas, such as those found around Heron Island, Australia, which is located within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Protected Zone. Aside from these cases where the habitat is protected, there has been no protection implemented for the species itself.
